Rockers Journey have postponed a concert in Louisiana on Tuesday as Hurricane Issac barrels towards the Gulf Coast.
The tropical storm was upgraded to a Category 1 hurricane on Tuesday afternoon, prompting thousands of mandatory evacuations across the state, which is still working to rebuild seven years after Hurricane Katrina.
The Don’t Stop Believin’ hitmakers were scheduled to take the stage at the Cajundome in Lafayette, but they have now rescheduled the show for 16 October over safety concerns. All flights in and out of the area have also been grounded.
A post on the group’s website reads, “Journey’s show on August 28th has been postponed at this time due to a severe weather (warning). A makeup show will now take place on October 16th.”
