Rockers Stone Temple Pilots had to scrap a Tuesday night concert in Alberta, Canada to allow singer Scott Weiland to rest his voice.
Weiland has been put on complete vocal rest due to strained vocal cords.
The news comes a day after the group upset fans in British Columbia by arriving onstage two hours late for a gig. Local reports suggest many fans had already left the venue when Weiland and his bandmates showed up and briefly apologized for their tardiness to a chorus of boos.
At press time, the band’s concert in Irvine, California on 22 September is still scheduled.
