After playing a pirate, gangster, drug dealer, cop,  journalist and man with scissors for hands – Johnny Depp needs a new challenge….

The Hollywood star wants to swap his goatee beard and waistcoat for lipstick and a trouser suit — and play Carol Channing in a biopic of the singer/actress.

Seriously?

He explains,  ”My dream role would be to play musical legend Carol Channing in a biopic of her life. I love her, I really do, she’s amazing. With all the digital technology these days, I could probably pull it off!”

Johnny…. you realise she’s still alive, yeah?

We wonder what 88-year-old Carol makes of it all.
