Money’s on his mind

Snoop Dogg was a fish out of water on Wall Street on Monday, where he opened trading at the New York Stock Exchange.
Apparently the rapper was hired as part of an initiative to encourage young people to enter the business world.
The scheme will also require Snoop to mentor young people and announce the winner of a young businessman award and a $25,000 cheque.

Jolie jewellery

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have designed a line of jewellery to raise money for the actress’ kids charity.
Fans and Brangelina wannabes with deep pockets can snap up the serpent-themed gems — dubbed The Protector — from upscale British store Asprey.
The range includes diamond-studded pendants and rings, baby spoons and picture frames, all featuring the reptile, and are priced from $525 (£330).
Proceeds from the Protector range, which is being sold at Asprey stores in London, New York, Los Angeles, Toyko, Japan and Dubai, will be donated to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, an organisation the Tomb Raider star co-founded in 2006.

Kidman grounded by flu

It seems like half of showbiz is laid up in bed with one illness or another at the moment.
And as soon as one star gets better, another falls ill.
The good news is that Elton John is back on his feet after a battle with the e.coli virus — but he’s been replaced in the sick bed by Nicole Kidman, who’s had to cancel a charity trip to Kenya because she’s got the flu.
We’re promised it’s not swine flu… just regular flu!
But it has stopped her talking about domestic violence against women in the African country.
Get well soon Nicole.

Ed case

So it turns out Edward Norton is a bit of a marathon natural.
Not only did he trot around the New York City Marathon in a very creditable 3 hours and 48 minutes on Sunday, but he felt “phenomenal” afterwards.
Not the first word we’d use after a gruelling 26.2 mile run!
Ed’s run has raised $300,000 for the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust in Kenya.
He says, “You know you are going to hit tough spots, in a weird way mine came early in the race, but then I got my second wind around mile 18 and felt great the rest of the way.”

Shake it up LaToya

While most of the world was partying for Halloween, LaToya Jackson went to work on Saturday night, mixing up treats at Hollywood hotspot Millions of Milkshakes.
MJ’s sister even created her own drink, containing strawberries, raspberries, and caramel, topped with cream and a chocolate flake.
And it’s all for a good cause — proceeds from LaToya’s shake will go to LA’s Aids Project.
