John Mayer isn’t ashamed about his love of pot. In fact he’s singing it from the rooftoops.

Or in his new album, at least — which features an ode to the wicked weed.

Who Says, the first song from his new album Battle Studies, boldly begins with the question, “Who says
I can’t get stoned?”

Mayer hopes his controversial lyrics will spark debate among listeners as to why the drug has yet to be legalised in the U.S.

He tells  our pals at PopEater.com, “It’s not a dirty word. It’s not a curse word. It’s a presentation of an idea that makes people think a little harder about what they’re listening to, which I don’t think is the worst thing in the world.”

Now we know what he has in common with on-off girlfriend Jennifer Aniston!

DJ AM’s grieving girlfriend has slammed reports he took his life after she dumped him — insisting they were still together when he died.

American Apparel model Hayley Wood — pictured above with the tragic star — is pretty upset about the rumours she turned him back on to drugs, which started circulating soon after he was found dead last Friday.

She says, ”Any indication that this horribly tragic accident happened because of a rumoured breakup is not only untrue but disgusting. We were very much together at the time of his passing, and I love him very much.”

The cause of AM’s death has yet to be determined. He’ll be laid to rest in a family funeral on Thursday.

The truth is out!

Just a day after Brad Pitt assure us he had quit pot for good, his pal director Quentin Tarantino has outed him as a fibber.

Brad insisted he had stubbed out his last reefer so he could be a good dad — but Quentin claims the pair lit up just last year, smoking the star’s own supply of the good stuff.

Tarantino told shock jock Howard Stern on Tuesday, “So he takes this brick of hash and whips out a knife like Jesse James and cuts this big sliver. The thing that was really funny was I said do you have a pipe to go with this? And he just handed me a Coke can.”

What will Saint Angie will have to say about this?

We’d love to be a fly on the wall in that household!

It turns out Brad Pitt may not have been acting at all when he played a dopey stoner in True Romance — because he’s been a long time pot-head in real life.

The actor admits he was a regular smoker until he settled down with Angelina Jolie, but stubbed out his reefer for good so he could concentrate on being a parent to their adopted and biological kids.

Brad tells talk show host Bill Maher, “I’m a dad now. You want to be alert and my eyes used to glaze over when I did that.”

Again?

George Michael and cars just do not work together.

The singer was arrested on Friday after he was involved in a car crash with a truck – just two months after he got his license back following a two-year driving ban.

The Faith hitmaker was reportedly quizzed by police on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs after his Range Rover collided with the vehicle in Berkshire, England.

According to a spokesperson for the Thames Valley Police, he was released without charge after five hours.

The rep says, “The driver of the Land Rover, a 46-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody.

“He was later released without charge.”

He was banned from driving for two years in 2007 when he was twice found slumped behind the wheel of his parked car in London. Michael subsequently pleaded guilty to driving while unfit through drugs and later admitted an addiction to marijuana.
