Bloom-ing cheek

Is Orlando Bloom’s mum really so strapped for cash she’s reduced to selling off her movie star son’s memorabilia?
Sonia Copeland Bloom is organising a huge sale of props and costumes from the Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
She claims she’s moving house and needs to clear out space, but surely this stuff is worth hanging onto…

Rutherford gives birth to baby girl

Kelly Rutherford’s incredibly messy split from Daniel Giersch just got more interesting — there’s now a second child for them to bicker over.
The Gossip Girl actress gave birth to a baby girl in a Los Angeles hospital on Monday night.
Rutherford and Giersch filed for divorce last year, and have tussled since over everything from custody of their two-year-old son Hermes, to how the tot should be toilet trained.
So don’t expect this bitter break-up to get any nicer.

Double your Baldwins, double your fun on I’m a Celebrity

TV vet Daniel Baldwin of Homicide: Life on the Street is heading to Costa Rica to replace fragile newlyweds Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Baldwin will join brother Stephen as a castmember following the departure of Montag and Pratt on Monday night shortly after the show’s first airing.
The Hills stars quit, then unquit, then quit again several times as a result of the hardship conditions on the show’s jungle set, and the sickening challenges they faced — the couple couldn’t cope with teammates Patty Blagojevich and actor Lou Diamond Phillips had to eat a tarantula (and we kind of can’t believe we’re saying this, because it’s sympathetic to Montag and Pratt, but we HATE spiders and that’s about where we’d have quit too).
Tired of the drama in that regard, NBC execs quickly replaced the prats — er, “the Pratts” by pairing Daniel Baldwin with his younger sibling Stephen, according to DailyFill.com, and sources say a second replacement is in the works. Baldwin’s been on reality TV before; he appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew in 2008.
[Update, 9 AM EDT: Baldwin's publicist now denies these rumors to Radar Online, saying the casting is "news to" him.]

Grieving Travolta leaves Pelham promotion to Washington

John Travolta, still devastated by the death of his son Jett earlier this year, has delegated the media promotion for their new movie The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3 to co-star Denzel Washington.
The Saturday Night Fever star’s 16-year-old son died in January after suffering a seizure while on a vacation in the Bahamas with the family; Jett’s death, and the surrounding investigation, occupied the headlines for months, and Travolta is still struggling with the tragedy. According to Washington, who has been speaking to Travolta by phone of late, Travolta often breaks down in tears, and has decided not to help promote the upcoming remake of the ’70s thriller while he’s still so fragile emotionally.
Explains Washington, “One moment he’s okay and the next he’s in tears… Needless to say, he’s struggling. So more than talking to him, I listened to him, for about two or three hours.
“What can you say, really? Just be there as a friend, because he’s such a sweet, sweet person. Our prayers are with he and his wife.”
