Sarah Jessica Parker is a school mum in the city, while husband Matthew Broderick is away in France at the American Film Festival of Deauville.

The star signed up for double duty – playing Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex & The City sequel and getting her young son James Wilke to class on time.

And don’t forget Parker has another two young ‘uns at home – surrogate twin girls Tabitha and Marion. Phew!

SJP must have requested a late call time on the Sex set, so she could take her son to school.

Looking every inch the yummy mummy, I bet the other dads love the school run these days…

We’ve seen the Sex in the City ladies running around the streets of New York filming various scenes – but this is the first time the gang has been together and with Charlotte (Kristin Davis)- who has been noticeably missing from the set until now.

Our favourite girlfriends look great – all smiles and dressed to perfection as usual.

We can’t wait for the new film to be released so we can get our fix of fashion, fun and gossip.

Hurry up ladies, stop posing and get filming…

Life as a movie star is clearly hard work…

WENN caught sight of Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of Sex and the City 2 in Manhattan – and she spent an inordinate amount of time checking her phone.

After posing with her co-star Cynthia Nixon and taking a picture with her cell, she then plonked herself down on some steps and read through her text messages.

Let’s hope this isn’t a sign that Carrie Bradshaw will be taking a backseat in the new movie…

There are a few extra lines, sure, but little else has changed in the last 22 years.

SJP even had the frizzy cut she sported in 1987 movie Flashdance when we spotted her on the set of the new Sex and the City movie in New York yesterday.

It’s Sarah Jessica Parker, of course…

But there’s something a little different about the actress, who was looking more glamorous than ususal on the streets of New York today.

That’s because these are the first on-set snaps from the forthcoming Sex and the City movie sequel.

Don’t ask us how we did it, but WENN managed to sneak onto the Manhattan set today — and catch Carrie Bradshaw in all her glory.
