A quick work of advice — never invite Will Smith and his wife Jada into your home…

The Collateral actress has revealed in a new interview with Redbook magazine that the frisky pair frequently sneak off at parties for quick sex sessions in friends’ bedrooms, bathrooms, closets… anywhere they can find.

And that, frankly, makes us feel a little queasy.

Scientology School?

So, Tom and Katie are planning to send little Suri to Scientology school after her third birthday later this month. What’s even weirder is that the school, the New Village Academy in Los Angeles, was launched by Will Smith, who still maintains that he is not a Scientologist, despite the school’s espousal of some of the “religion”’s wacky tenets.

So, what does this all mean? These people are all wearing crazy pants.

Losing those Extra pounds?

Katie Holmes struck a pensive pose on location for her new comedy The Extra Man on Monday. Although telecast viewers saw hub Tom Cruise during an advert for Jimmy Kimmel during the Oscars, the power couple appeared to have skipped the ceremony (which we have to admit we didn’t notice at the time, really, but now we’re a bit sad — Cruise could have done his Les Grossman bit as a presenter!) so that Holmes could work.

Rumor has it Holmes’s strength has been sapped by a bizarro Scientology diet/vitamin regimen; a source told the Daily Mail that she’d spent a lot of time “resting” of late after a super-detox left her weak. Holmes has taken some fire lately for looking too thin, but she seems fine here in her nubbly skirt and overcoat.

We doubt Tom Cruise would ever do something as uncontrolled and tacky as Doing It in an airplane bathroom, but he does seem rather amorous towards wife Katie Holmes — who is wearing a smocky top that looks from this angle like nothing so much as an unfastened straitjacket — as they proceed through a security checkpoint at Berlin’s Schoenefeld Airport on Tuesday. You know what those metal-detecting wands can do to a man…who knows what developed at 35,000 feet.

Cruise’s rep has denied reports that Cruise is considering bringing the Miracle On The Hudson pilot Chesley Sullenberger’s story to the big screen.

Leaving the German Valkyrie premiere, Cruise appears about to grab Holmes’s breast by mistake; you can see by her face (and the firm hand she’s placed under his forearm) that a course correction is about to be made.

(Not, however, to Holmes’s straitjacket, which is even more baffling fashion-wise from the front. Just because you can put lapels on a marshmallow doesn’t mean you should.)

Holmes is also steering her own career quite firmly; she’s just signed onto The Extra Man with co-stars Kevin Kline and Little Miss Sunshine’s Paul Dano.

“Quick resolution” expected for Jett Travolta

A few clarifications on the Jett Travolta story, thanks to the Associated Press:

Obie Wilchcombe, a parliament member and former tourism minister in the Bahamas, said that an autopsy is planned for Monday, and “we expect a quick resolution.”

“John spoke with the minister of health and the doctors and police are at the hospital. They’re very, very quick to resolve things,” he said.

Preston and Travolta have said that Jett became very sick when he was 2 years old and was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, an illness that leads to inflammation of the blood vessels in young children. She blamed household cleaners and fertilizers, and said that a detoxification program based on teachings from the Church of Scientology helped improve his health, according to People magazine. Both Travolta and Preston are practicing Scientologists.

“I was obsessive about his space being cleaned. We constantly had the carpets cleaned,” Travolta said in a 2001 interview with CNN’s Larry King, a portion of which was rebroadcast on the Larry King Live show Friday night. During that interview, when Jett was 9, Travolta spoke of how his son nearly died when he was 2.

We realize it’s a difficult time for the family, but we must still cock a brow at the “detoxification program.” It’s fine to put your faith in that sort of thing as adults, when you can make your own decisions, but on behalf of your kids…enh. This is not to say Scientology “medicine” had anything to do with Jett’s death, but rather that it may have been something for his parents to cling to in order to explain his life.
